History

[edit]

In the usual primary sources on the Philly Waterfront, I see no evidence that Pier 34 was ever used to load coal. The Reading RR, which owned it in the '30s loaded their coal up in Port Richmond. Instead, it appears to have been used, like most of the piers around it, to load and unload cargo from steamships. I'll change the page accordingly. Conflicting numbers on deaths across two wikis

[edit]

Three women in this wiki page and then it shows 4 in this pages section the incident - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Dorrance_Hill_Hamilton

Perhaps someone can take a look and see what sources says, I will try to look into it when I get the time if it goes unnoticed.
