Conflict with Q-Tip
[edit]What about the split of ATCQ and the beef that developed between him and q-tip? Or about how the band got started in the first place. The personal relationship between the two of them and how that shaped the direction of the band needs to be addressed in some focused way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.178.103.221 (talk) 06:42, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Diabetes
[edit]I'm surprised there is no mention of his struggle with Diabetes. Anyone care to find a source? Secretagentwang (talk) 15:30, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
It is spoken about at length in the "Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest" (2011) documentary, but I know nothing about sourcing such things or the "wikipedianess" of some topic. It does seem that is deserves mentioning though. 108.5.80.159 (talk) 13:45, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
Editing
[edit]Someone edited out a lot of Phife's story. Last time I saw this site it had quotes and lyrics...come back now and it's gone! Shame. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.18.63.165 (talk) 19:06, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Meaning of "Phife"
[edit]I'd always assumed, from the way he references the "Five Footer" so often in his lyrics that the name was a homonym of the"Five F" part of that name. The fact that the "We Got The Jazz" explanation regarding a small flute lacks any sort of citation means it probably should be cited or removed at least. 92.26.25.97 (talk) 09:11, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

Kanye West Influence?
[edit]I honestly find it to be insulting that he's supposedly influenced kanye west - the article that references this doesn't source itself - I dont think it's appropriate to have this on his wiki if it's not readily verifiable.. RIP Phife Dawg - I will always honor your memory through your music brother .. <3 122.60.182.15 (talk) 08:56, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
- "Its socially conscious themes and production influenced future acts like Common, The Roots, Jill Scott, Kanye West and The Neptunes". Right there in the source it's attributed to. GRAPPLE X 09:04, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
