Translation of the article in Russian Wikipedia
[edit]Students of PetrSU write the article about Petrozavodsk State University in the Russian Wikipedia: ru:Петрозаводский государственный университет. I am a teacher in PetrSU and I am coordinating this process. We started the writing of this article in 2014. And some sections of the article in the Russian Wikipedia are more or less complete, see e.g. the History section in Russian.
Some students selected the work to translate sections from Russian Wikipedia to English Wikipedia. We are using this page to coordinate this work: User:AKA MBG/PetrSU. During this semester 2015-2016 my student Alexandra kalinina translated (with my help) the section Petrozavodsk State University#PetrSU in 1970-1985. Dear editors, you are welcome to correct and improve this translation! -- Andrew Krizhanovsky (talk) 10:50, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for doing this work. As one remark, it is generally preferable to give full names (no patronimics), not just the initials.--Ymblanter (talk) 17:37, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for your help and remarks!
- I wrote the name of rector as Anatoly V. Voronin instead of Anatoly Voronin, because Anatoly Voronin is another person. It is possible that the correct solution will be to use Anatoly Voronin (Rector). -- Andrew Krizhanovsky (talk) 15:14, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- This is indeed the preferable disambiguation pattern.--Ymblanter (talk) 15:16, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
