For the editors of this Wiki Entry: Peter Schmalfuss died October 23, 2008. Regards, LinSte (talk) 09:11, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the corresponding article from our local (Darmstadt -) newspaper: http://www.echo-online.de/3/static/676251.htm

I expect this link will work only for a few days. LinSte (talk) 12:28, 3 November 2008 (UTC) This is a (temporary) link on a printed version of the article:[reply]

Thank you very much for the information and the links. My tiny familiarity with German comes entirely from record jackets, but relying on that and online translation software I've updated the article with information from the obituary. Please feel free to look over what I've done and correct any errors! Drhoehl (talk) 19:55, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
From my point of view, the article is ok. Missing is only that Peter Schmalfuss was a honor professor but it is not clear to me which university had awarded this title. Now it's to me to thank you as I can take your article and translate it to German. It is a staircase wit that the German Wikipedia does not have a corresponding entry even though that at least here (in Darmstadt) he was well known both for his occasional concerts and for his -sometimes - very strange outfit with straw hat, suit and shrill cravat. As there's still no entry on Peter Schmalfuss in the German Wikipedia, I'll post this link here: http://www.echo-online.de/nachrichten/kunstundkultur/Nach-Seltenem-tasten;art1161,40922 --84.177.28.107 (talk) 16:44, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
