This article is a summary of an unpublished research paper I wrote about Schlumbohm a couple of years ago. The sources of all the quotes etc. are in scrapbooks and correspondence of Schlumbohm's at the Hagley Museum, and articles in the New Yorker and New York Times. And for the record, the Chemex does make damn good coffee. Richardjames444 20:18, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup tag

[edit]

Could you be more specific as to what aspects need cleaning up? The article seems OK to me and I don't intend to pore over the styleguide on a fool's errand. Richardjames444 17:09, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Guide to layout. The article needs to have a lead section, appropriately-sized headings, links, etc... It also appears that this article is actually two articles: a biographical article about Schlumbohm and a technology article about the Chemex Coffeemaker. I recommend splitting the two. —Viriditas | Talk 22:10, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good page... well done! :) No offence, but IMHO I agree with Viriditas, it would be better to have the Chemex article (Category:Coffee, and connected to the Coffee Infobox) in one page, and a link from Chemex to Schlumbohm (Category of inventors) perhaps. My 2 cents. 130.194.13.102 10:31, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm removing the tag for the article split because it has been there for almost 5 months without any interest or action grom anyone. Richardjames444 14:23, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
