Thoughts on the attack
[edit]After seeing the docu 'My enemy's enemy', where it was mentioned that many seemingly leftish individuals and organisations were discredited or attacked by the right wing forces of the world, and then reading about Baldwin's horrific attack I wondered whether his so called leftishness might have been the sticking point, not the investigation into organised crime, although these networks often overlap.
People have been and are still attacked in Latin America for supporting a union or environmentalists. Basically all who seem to oppose the establishment and 'get in the way', face adverse circumstances. Just today I read that environmentalist groups in Britain are infiltrated by undercover men, who take up with the women in these groups and even have children with them. At some stage, probably when they have rendered the group toothless, they disappear without a trace. Since the men operate under false names, these women (11 at last count) can then no longer find the fathers of their children. This practice is supposed to have gone on since 1968 and this could be one reason why nobody knows what exactly the late Sydney 'businessman' Michael McGurk (assumed name) did back in Britain before he entered Australia on a faked passport.
We should observe a little more critical. The war against anything perceived as anti-establishment, green, left, social justice seeking etc. is still being fought and the style is like in the best days of the KGB. 144.136.192.70 (talk) 05:43, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
