translation of german article

hi, my recent edits replaced the english text with a translation of the german article, because that article was better sourced than the english article.

some of the articles linked in the german article do not exist on english wikipedia, so for redlinks created from this, i instead *cited* (next to redlinks) the corresponding german articles.

sources for literary works

under literary works, it lists several publications by assmann, and none of them have citations.

however, in the external links, there is reference to a german database where assmann's publications can be found.

in my opinion, we should leave that link there but also find those references within them, adding them as citations for each listed publication mentioned by name, within the article. Libreleah (talk) 02:04, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

additionally, it may be prudent to check for other publications by assmann within that database, or perhaps other sources (e.g. search google.de for references).

such improvement could then also be made to the german page.

from my assessment, certain other translations besides english/german also need much tender love and care.
