[edit]

I would like to point out that after reading noticed accident suddenly the page what was on the page I was on today 17 November 2023 just a year back in his life the page now locked needs such high security.

IMO

This is the real Pete Hegseth 26,793 bytes

https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Pete_Hegseth&oldid=1148569174

The current page Pete Hegseth 82,298 bytes https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Pete_Hegseth

Seems to me like an advertisement and overdramatization of the real man a year ago.

What happened in that year to need to what looks to me the page they should revert to is https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Pete_Hegseth&oldid=1148569174

and make all these edits be like I now have to do just to make a actual correction

Is this a fair thing to assume the added 55,500 bytes also may require a more critical and fair the all need to argue the need and reasons why a the same exact man was on TV and famous.

As far as I see it if this is what the Wikipedia I have used since it began to help me know a summery to allow just someone to author a person to sell them.. I just see no reason to trust the pages I read are under true peer review. Scottsdesk (talk) 14:30, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done -- this is a huge change, and you would need to get consensus from some other editors on the talk page before this could be done (make a post arguing something should be done). Closing the edit request for now, as this isn't the correct process. Mrfoogles (talk) 04:37, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you think there's editing by someone connected to him then you probably need some more evidence, although I do notice it got a bit longer. Mrfoogles (talk) 04:38, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Early life

[edit]

Regarding Hegseth's father's coaching, "in the Minnesota area" does not make sense. Minnesota is a large state. I would say "in the Twin Cities area." Bill (talk) 11:25, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Bro

[edit]

What the fuck is a "cross cum sword" mentioned in his tattoos? How has nobody seen this 71.198.218.140 (talk) 03:51, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The source for this sentence uses this wording, including the Latin word for "with". I've made it fully English to avoid confusion. —ADavidB 09:38, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation: ˈhɛɡ-sɛt ?

[edit]

Is the Norwegian family name Hegseth pronounced

  • ˈhɛɡ-sɛt   ,

with t , or better to say with  th  like in River Thames and the herb thyme?

  • So: Russian Wikipedia;
  • so: German Secretary of Defense Pistorius;
  • not so: some speaker in dlf.de;
  • not so: Turkish Wikipedia.

Detlef Lindenthal (talk) 06:38, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hegseth is pronounced as /hɛɡsɛθ/ (HEG-seth). I have yet to hear it in any other way. /θ/ does not exist in Russian or German, which is why his surname would be written as Хегсет and why Boris Pistorius defaults to /t/. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 03:02, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Change "There, he led a platoon of soldiers from the New Jersey Army National Guard[10] guarding imprisoned terrorists"

To There, he led a platoon of soldiers from the New Jersey Army National Guard[10] guarding imprisoned alleged terrorists 86.30.203.40 (talk) 00:24, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Partly done: Changed to read "There, he led a platoon of soldiers from the New Jersey Army National Guard[10] guarding imprisoned detainees.[11]", as per the source article, stating the following:
"After graduating, in 2003, Hegseth worked briefly on Wall Street, as an equity-markets analyst at Bear Stearns. In 2004, he was deployed for a year to Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, where he oversaw a platoon of soldiers from New Jersey guarding detainees" Northern-Virginia-Photographer (talk) 15:19, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on referencing

[edit]

If you want to do referencing in this article with an alphabetical list of references at the bottom of the article, then I would strongly suggest the first displayed parameter be the last name (of the first author), which is |last= or |last1= , so that it is easier for every editor to insert references alphabetically into the reference list instead of having to search the entire reference for the last name (of the first author). starship.paint (talk / cont) 14:49, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Military Service Infobox

[edit]

Where it says U.S. Army > U.S. Army Reserve, this is incorrect. He served in the Army National Guard. This is one of the two Reserve Components (RC), the other being the Army Reserve. the U.S. Army Reserve and Army National Guard are two mutually exclusive entities Ihpkt (talk) 05:10, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
