Pete Beale was a Media and drama good articles nominee, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. There may be suggestions below for improving the article. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

A lot of this article seems to be rehashing of episode summaries and in the end, not a lot of it seems necessary. For example, "Pete did his best to comfort her, but Kathy rejected him, and Pete then tried a hard-line approach, simply telling her to sort herself out." I have never seen an episode of this show, so maybe it was an important scene, but it doesn't seem necessary in a biography of this character. Some of it could be better written, ie. "Just when the matter seemed closed, Pat revealed that not only were Kenny and Pete possible candidates for Simon's father, but Den Watts, who Pat had also been sleeping with at the time, was also in the running. Pat later ruled him out, but then cryptically demanded that he sleep with her, or it would be spread around that he was the father!"
There are also only four sources, none of them online. I usually like to see at least a couple online sources because they are easily verifiable. Finally, is the family section really necessary? Perhaps there could just be a link to a similar page?
Apologies, but I'm going to fail the article for the time being. Keep working on it and it will be of GA quality soon enough. -- Scorpion04:57, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
