Perrig QuemeneurPerrig Quémeneur – rename per sources and WP:FRMOS. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:37, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, yes it does. Quéméneur is usually spelled Quéméneur in Brittany fr:Pierre Quéméneur so the local Le Télégramme seems to be reasonably secure and is confirmed by an interview in ouest-france.fr Perrig Quéméneur : « Être à la hauteur ». Most Quéméneur in Google Scholar are é é as well, but a few Quémeneur in Google Scholar, such as Team Europcar. I've provisionally adjusted proposal to Quémeneur per Europcar (but think Quéméneur may be more correct). In ictu oculi (talk) 14:10, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately there are none. He does not appear in English sources that are reliable for French names. Per WP:AT "... to constitute an established usage, follow the conventions of the language appropriate to the subject (German for German politicians, Portuguese for Brazilian Towns..." evidently not. Why would a cycling website based in Bath UK be a more reliable source for the spelling of French names than two French newspapers? I can't see the problem here, this is a very common occurence with 1000s of BLP sports stubs all across en.wp. Sports websites invariably do not represent living persons names correctly which is why the "German for German politicians" guideline is there. In ictu oculi (talk) 23:15, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
French newspapers are good sources for French usage, not English, English sources demonstrate English usage. --Education does not equal common sense. 我不在乎 14:42, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • support rename to add single accent, or both if sources seem to confirm that. Why doesn't someone drop his publicist/agent a line and find out the answer. It's not like it's that big of a deal - one or two accents, but wikipedia should at least try to get it right. To Unquebecois, we need english sources that use diacritics to establish english language usage. If the only books we have in english are black and white, we can't use those to determine the color of Picasso's paintings -we need to go to other sources.--Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 16:43, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Not sure how I missed this one. ¡Viva la revolución diacrítico! --BDD (talk) 17:48, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
