1842 Apportion Bill

California elected at-large members in the nineteenth century, and Montana did at the beginning of the twentieth. 99.165.93.122 (talk) 07:53, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The 1842 Apportionment Bill did abolish at-large districts for multi-representative states and plural districts, however, it only applied during the 10-year period for which said apportionment was effective.
