Competitors recorded
[edit]Do we have some kind of citation for competitors recorded? Where is this info coming from? Not trying to suggest it's inaccurate, it would be nice to have a source though. Pikespeak12 (talk) 06:24, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- Probably from an audience member or production assistant at the original recordings. I've added a template.--Shantavira|feed me 08:47, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Order for list of entrants
[edit]It would be nice to have some order in the entrants list. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 14:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Also, a French double act on July 16 seems to have been omitted from the list. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 16:15, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- Any reason some people are listed as "British" and some are "English" or "Scottish"? Pseudomonas(talk) 21:14, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Watching the show on Netflix I'm a bit confused because No. 2 ("Teller Sucks... Helium") actually has the performers listed for No. 8 but is clearly No. 2 (e.g. introductions, the final Penn & Teller act with helium). I think the order got mixed up a bit at some point and the performers might not match the actual episodes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.1.114.233 (talk) 18:39, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- It's probably due to that the season one episodes were both reedited/recut and had a different episode order than the original when The CW aired them in the US. I did a quick check and it seems to me that the rest of the episodes in season one have the correct information (as per the original airing). I found the edit that switched the episode performers https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Penn_%26_Teller:_Fool_Us&diff=737473729&oldid=737424212. I suggest that we change the info on the episodes to the info from the original airing. --Lilljedahl (talk) 19:52, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Present?
[edit]It says here that the show is going on to the present however I cannot find anything about about a second season. Wouldn't that mean that the show is no longer in working? 174.7.90.40 (talk) 05:32, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
Comedy Central India is airing the initial episodes, can someone please put the details here?
Episode 4
[edit]Somebody seems to have removed episode 4, the one where Richard Bellars fools them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.223.153.150 (talk) 10:06, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
Shawn Farquhar
[edit]Shawn Farquhar didn't "win" anything because they caught the deck switch near the beginning. They do say they can't explain how he did the rest of the trick, but he didn't get the prize of a show in Vegas with Penn and Teller, and is not considered a winner on the show. --Bp0 (talk) 00:14, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
- There's no official list of winners, but during the episode, Penn says "We had all these discussions and meetings [with the producers] ... about what would constitute fooling us ... we said over and over again if we actually saw a move it would negate the whole thing." That is the basis for not highlighting him as winner on the page. --Bp0 (talk) 00:28, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
- Someone has already highlighted him again by now, but I just thought I'd mention that he should certainly stay highlighted. For every contestant, Penn says "You fooled us" or "You did not fool us", which I imagine is the definitive statement that the contestant has won or lost. Penn's words to Farquhar: "I should say that you absolutely did, on the most important part of the trick, I think you did fool us!" The way this line is delivered, it is clear that this is their ruling on the trick. - furrykef (Talk at me) 13:08, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
Proof that they were fooled
[edit]So, if a magician says "no, that's not how I did it", how do they know its true?185.104.141.159 (talk) 02:26, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- As mentioned multiple times throughout the series, there's a trusted expert backstage sworn to secrecy who knows how the trick is done. In the case of a dispute, he breaks the tie. 89.1.114.233 (talk) 18:25, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
"Unaired segments"?
[edit]The article's table of first season guests lists six "Unaired segments". Would someone please add a source for this? Otherwise it needs to be removed. - Brian Kendig (talk) 02:25, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

Recent edits
[edit]To the IP, three decimal places are only used when viewers under regularly a million (i.e. for most episodes), else it's two decimal places; this is consistent formatting per WP:TV standards, and is completely irrelevant of the source used. The special also counts as an episode of the series and is therefore listed as such. -- AlexTW 07:49, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
There will be a April Fool Us Day 2019 special on April 1st.
[edit]There will be a April Fool Us Day 2019 special on April 1st. Chris Hardwick will be pranked by Teller and Penn Jillette, and Jason Palter will also be on, with Alyson Hannigan hosting. Could someone get onto creating an episode listing for this? 2604:2000:F64D:FC00:1C6D:B264:2B7:F430 (talk) 07:41, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
dead reference
[edit]The 18 reference about Penn's blog where he admits Piff the magic dragon did fool them now links to a dead page which says "permission denied". Or maybe it only is because i am connecting from France --Orsatelli (talk) 10:10, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

Alyson Hannigan: Producer
[edit]In the opening credits (current season), Alyson Hannigan is listed as 'Producer'. Should this be added to infobox? 2606:A000:1126:28D:F00D:CEDC:42F7:4529 (talk) 05:29, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
Greg Wilson Fooled 'em
[edit]Greg Wilson (season 02, episode 06) fooled 'em - perhaps unconventionally - by producing his legendary parents Mark Wilson and Nani Darnel at the end of a sword box illusion which Penn says had fooled Teller 50 years previous when Teller first saw Mark Wilson perform it. Trophy was awarded, Greg Wilson returned to Las Vegas, performed as Penn & Teller's guest. Review of the episode verifies that Jay Sankey did not fool the hosts.
