"Strafbattalion" is a misspelling. The article "Strafbattalion" has been moved to "Strafbataillon"
[edit]The Second World War German penal battalion's name is spelled in a number of different ways, and links to the former article "Strafbattalion" which now redirects to "Strafbataillon". I'm going to clean that up as best I can.
One thing I think may be confusing to English-speakers is the use of the German-language plural "Strafbataillone". However, the guidance in MOS:PLURALS only advises that we use the English plural suffix "-s" where a foreign word's defined in major English dictionaries (a cursory Google search for definitions of "Strafbataillon" show our article "Strafbataillon" as the only English source defining it.
MOS:FOREIGNITALIC, however does indicate we always italicize foreign words that haven't aren't used as loanwords in the English language (such as "Gestapo"). So I'll take care of the needed italicizations, too. loupgarous (talk) 18:58, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
France: Régiment pénal de l'Île de Ré, formed in 1811, disbanded in 1933 - ?
[edit]What ? An obvious false information, as it seems. But it fits to this weak article. --129.187.244.19 (talk) 11:39, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
