So what was it?
[edit]The aircraft is variously described in the article as having gone down a hill, a cliff and a slope. Is there an agreed term? WWGB (talk) 13:47, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- Looks like a cliff to me. Mjroots (talk) 19:09, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- How steep does a slope have to be to be called a cliff? Different people will probably answer differently, and many people will probably give different answers depending on whether they're just told the number or actually see what it looks like. Just going from the TV pictures I'd estimate the surface in question is somewhere between 10 and 20 degrees off vertical, which I suspect puts it in the range where people will disagree. 86.30.22.26 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:46, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
change of picture
[edit]Would it be someone to change the picture in the heading to be a picture like this: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/imageserver/image/methode%2Ftimes%2Fprod%2Fweb%2Fbin%2F4a963ebc-f964-11e7-a987-7fcf5e9983dc.jpg?crop=1600%2C900%2C0%2C0&resize=685
Or another picture showing the actual scene...i do not know how to change the picture R 2the ichard (talk) 01:52, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- That image would need to be uploaded under WP:NON-FREE rules before it can be used. Mjroots (talk) 19:25, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
"ran off the end of the runway" in the lead seems inaccurate
[edit]From pictures I've seen, it looks like the plane swerved off the side of the runway some distance before the end. Since the AfD for this article features many "overruns are a dime a dozen" comments, the distinction seems significant in terms of the survival of the article.--NapoliRoma (talk) 04:49, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- Fixed. WWGB (talk) 04:59, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
Similarly, it seems like Category:Airliner accidents and incidents involving runway overruns is incorrect. Wouldn't the currently non-existent Category:Airliner accidents and incidents involving runway excursions be right? --NapoliRoma (talk) 21:40, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
