Fair use rationale for Image:Pedrocalungsod.jpg

[edit]

Image:Pedrocalungsod.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cebuano / Ilonggo

[edit]

There seems to be a fervent dispute among Filipinos whether Calungsod was born in Cebu or Iloilo. Please provide reliable secondary sources documenting any assertions added to the article. There are numerous factual accounts which put him in Cebu, and the assertions that he was from Iloilo are largely opinion and forum posts. Elizium23 (talk) 16:18, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

Is there any reason why the Birthplace Dispute/Issue is covered in two separate sections? Were they written by people from different camps? Manannan67 (talk) 04:28, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Martyrdom part

[edit]
Bad-faith trolling
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

This part is just pure empty and since its empty, its safe to assume that he did not die (Personal attack removed). Calungsod did not die then because the martyrdom part is frickin empty. Titan2900 (talk) 03:37, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Titan2900: We're all volunteers here, and nobody is obliged to add information to any article. If you'd like to add information about his martyrdom based on reliable sourcess you can do so yourself as long as you cite your sources and use your own words. Your previous edits were reverted because you copied and pasted text directly from another website, which violates Wikipedia's copyright policy. See the links I've provided on your talk page for more information. SamX [talk · contribs] 04:39, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SamX You do it yourself cuz you wrote this didnt ya? you removed the parts so you return them, fix this yourself pal, I aint doin nothing to this article bcuz you removed the martyrdom part, hence pedro calungsod did not exist bcuz he did not even die. Removing or not adding that makes no sense at all. Titan2900 (talk) 04:59, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SamX If ya aint gon add his death or whatsoever, then delete this article cuz Pedro Calungsod doesnt even exist. And its all on yall, u aholes, for removing the very part that builds up his identity as a martyr. Why is he called a martyr in the first place if ya aint even talking bout his death, huh? Thats the reason why I put that, so if ya aint gon revise this, Ill rlly ruin this article, ya understand? Titan2900 (talk) 05:03, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Titan2900: As I've said before, I have no objection to information about his martyrdom to the article. I deleted your previous additions because they were copyright violations, but you're free to restore the information as long as you cite your sources and write in your own words. If you vandalize the article (which you're apparently threatening to do when you say you'll ruin this article), you'll likely have your editing privileges revoked. Please don't do that. SamX [talk · contribs] 05:07, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SamX then delete this if ya aint got no info bout old Calungsod here. And go ahead, revoke me cuz Ill return anytime. You Im alone, do ya? I have a lot of friends who can vandalize this. Unless u edit this, UNLESS YOU FIX THIS PIECE OF CRAP, we will vandalize it for as long as we want. Lock it if ya want, we'll just hack our way through. Kick us out, we will keep coming back, unless ya fix this. Titan2900 (talk) 05:13, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This article is not good.

[edit]

I recommend people read "Blessed Pedro Calungsod: An Historian's Comments On His Life Prior To His Martyrdom." (2000) By Fr John N. Schumacher S.J. He did not die at 17 years old and I am pretty sure he was not reading the Roman Catechism (1566) but the Doctrina Christiana (Which he probably did not read but memorised.).
