The segment on penguin behavior is helpful for context, but I am confused about the edition of paragraph 2.
"Like the Gentoo penguins, Adélie penguins live on icy ground when they are on land. They use the pebbles to line a small depression in the ground, where the stones can keep the eggs dry by allowing snow and water to flow around them."
While it is interesting, I do not think it adds anything to the concept of pebbling for building relationships. However, I think that paragraph one perfectly explains the background for pebbling. Doolecor (talk) 05:59, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I was not aware that pebbling was one of the five love languages for the neurodivergent community, so this entry was interesting. While there is only one source for this article on the five love languages, it does seem to be agreed upon by many. I think that there could be more sources and information on this section. Also, the first sentence could use some work because saying that neurodivergent people, "struggle with traditional forms of affection" can unintentionally imply that they are lacking something "normal" which frames it as a deficit. The first sentence could be something more neutral like, "as a form of nonverbal communication, pebbling gestures are a meaningful way neurodivergent people express affection".
