- Fairly obvious action. Mindmatrix 00:59, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
I propose that this article be merged to Maple, Ontario. the only unbiased third-party source I could find about this place (excluding press releases, of course), is Giving Peace a chance in Muslim suburbia at canada.com, which states "Welcome to Peace Village, Canada's first Islamic subdivision, where all 260 homes belong to members the Ahmadiyya sect". That is, this is a subdivision, not a neighbourhood, community, etc. The Vaughan website also refers to it as a subdivision (and sometimes also a community). WP:CANADA has consistently merged these types of articles to the respective community or municipality article. I don't think there's much of this that can be merged, perhaps mention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community and mosque. Mindmatrix 13:01, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- Just do it. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:09, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- Merge as proposed. It is a subdivision. Real estate developments such as subdivisions very rarely meet the necessary notability requirements to warrant their own articles, and the one unbiased reliable source is not enough here. More often than not, article attempts on such real estate developments are often motivated by marketing. Not seeing any blatant promotion here however, so I trust if the consensus is to merge that the informative content describing the uniqueness of the development will be integrated properly into the target article.
