Request Update to Information Box

[edit]

As indicated in an update to the article, Payless has relaunched its website. As it is now active, the Information Box on the upper right side should no longer link to a Wayback Machine archived page. I tried to edit it myself, but was unable to do so without screwing it up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wwkirk (talkcontribs) 09:50, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming the page (2008)

I am not really familiar with how you rename a page. Payless Shoe Source Inc. changed its name to collective brands after it aquired the Stride Rite Corporation. If someone comes across this and knows how to do these changes I would greatly appreciate it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.39.133.148 (talkcontribs) 07:50, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know who you are since you didn't sign your post, but I don't really see the point. The Payless name is famous throughout the United States (as is Stride Rite), more so than the name of the new parent company. May as well leave it as is.Kuahmel (talk) 20:19, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion

[edit]

The expansion section should be looked at. PSS (CBI) has expanded to many more markets than listed. And the second sentence dcoesn't make any sense. What about 2012? What is it trying to tell us? 12.13.74.72 (talk) 18:52, 4 October 2011 (UTC)SB[reply]

Payless ShoeSourcePayless Shoesource – Since the logo change eleven years ago back in 2006, wouldn't "shoesource" be considered one word now? 2601:8C:4001:DCB9:342F:E740:56ED:3705 (talk) 15:03, 20 August 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 16:04, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Repair this mistake

[edit]

This company will close only 2,100 stores in U.S. and Puerto Rico, not 2,300 stores. Some sources said 2,300 stores, but it is not true. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nosttradamuz (talkcontribs) 18:12, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stop updating by keep using the old references without new references

[edit]

Please do not "update" the fact, without changing the reference. In essence, your update is a "lie", since it is claiming the old reference is supporting the new information; which is clearly does not. If you update without a new reference, then the old reference should be deleted, and an unreferenced statement will remain. If you update with an additional clause on a sentence, place that after the reference, so that it remains unreferenced, instead of being included under the old reference. -- 70.51.201.106 (talk) 17:02, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Payless ShoeSourcePayless – The company name was officially changed from Payless ShoeSource to Payless. (source: https://www.foxbusiness.com/retail/payless-makes-comeback-with-launch-of-new-ecommerce-platform). As "ShoeSource" is being dropped from the company name and stores, it would be sensible to update the Wikipedia name. Dangeredwolf (talk) 08:08, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Moving it would require adding a header template to allow linking to the Disambiguation page. I might suggest along the lines of "This page is about the shoe retailer. For the car rental service, see Payless Car Rental. For other uses, see Pay Less." Dangeredwolf (talk) 08:18, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
