NPOV

[edit]

The line "He joined the Society of Jesus and preached the gospel with great fruit to the peoples of Japan," in addition to not making sense isn't written in NPOV, so I"m changing it. -hoganp1 13:09, 21 March 2006

Merge

[edit]

I am suggesting that we merge this article into Martyrs of Japan. The two articles cover basically the same ground. -- jackturner3 20:26, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion to move the article to "Paul Miki"

[edit]

Hi! My suggestion is to move this article into "Paul Miki" instead of "Paulo Miki" since it looks like in English sources at least, "Paul Miki" is more common than "Paulo Miki". If there are no objections perhaps for a week or so, I'll do it. Thanks! --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 06:53, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for making this suggestion. I agree. English-speaking sources use "Paul Miki." Today was the feast of St. Paul Miki, and the American Catholic priest referred to him as "Paul Miki." In this article's 3rd source, a Japanese source, he is also referred to as "Paul Miki." I have filed a request for an uncontested technical move, Paulo Miki -> Paul Miki. --Gafanomo (talk) 16:36, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
