[edit]I have removed the following paragraph from the text, as it is clearly polemical (I make no claim in regards to its accuracy, but it is clearly not NPOV):
Concerning the claims of the Wikipedia article on the Cape Breton Labor Party, stating that the party's main purpose was to seek provincial status for Cape Breton Island, MacEwan states on February 15, 2007, that this is not correct. "It was frequently claimed by the new leader of the NDP, Alexa McDonough, that we were some kind of separatists, but in reviewing the news clippings of 1984, the only election the Labor Party ever partcipated in, I find no mention of this at all," MacEwan states. "The reason the Labor Party was founded was to fight for free speech, and to stand for the values formerly supported by the NDP in Nova Scotia prior to McDonough's ascendancy. After the Labor Party was wound down, I was admitted to the Nova Scotia Liberal Party and served as a Liberal MLA for thirteen years. I doubt this would have been possible had I been viewed as some kind of an irreconcilable separatist."SteveMtl 15:56, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
