An editor, Montanabw feels that the 'positions' section of this article should be converted to prose. "Lists of works of individuals or groups, such as bibliographies, discographies, filmographies, album personnel and track listings, as well as timelines or chronologies, are typically presented in simple list format." This is a timeline of his positions and makes no sense to be in a paragraph or prose form.Ladysif (talk) 20:30, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Our manual of style discourages, though does not prohibit, "listy" subsections in articles. I converted one section to show you how to do it; this is better style; lists do have their place, but they can be overdone. Montanabw(talk) 06:31, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- Some of the awards seem to be internal awards of not-particularly-important regional associations, and look pretty trivial; if they don't have any coverage outside the school magazine, they probably shouldn't be included here. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 08:45, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

- The only people who would likely be looking him up would be most likely equestrian related, so they're not irrelevant in that way? They may be minor, but they are accomplishments none the less, and in the area in which he lives and works. I don't see any issue here.Ladysif (talk) 14:55, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- Note to LS: Montanabw and Justlettersandnumbers are arguably the two most experienced equestrian editors on Wikipedia, so they know all things equestrian and how equestrian articles should look and be. - Note to Softlavender: If you aren't personally involved with the equestrian world, why are you commenting here and acting like my comment is disrespectful? As far as I'm concerned, Wikipedia is a place for consensus, and not a place for "seasoned" editors to talk down to newcomers. And guess what? Being personally involved with, and having quite a bit of knowledge in "all things equestrian," as you put it, doesn't make your attempt to exempt me from having relevant opinions valid. - I never said nor implied your comment was disrespectful. My intention was not to butt in or to disparage you. You had said "The only people who would likely be looking him up would be most likely equestrian related, so they're not irrelevant in that way? I responded to that; M and J know extremely well what belongs in equestrian wiki articles and what doesn't. - I said that I didn't see that any issue here, meaning that I didn't see any issue here in this article, as it currently is. My thought was that the most likely audience for this article would be equestrian-related individuals to whom these awards may have some meaning. Considering that they are minor, and wouldn't have any meaning to an average reader, I can see why they wouldn't have a place here, but I put them there in the first place because he's an accomplished individual. It is not simply an editor opinion, basically, in general, regional or local status is not going to make a person famous enough to meet wikipedias general notability guidelines and so for the article itself, it usually works just to say something general like "various state and regional posts" unless there is something super-duper significant about these groups that has national notice. The USEF counts as significant; state groups, less so. I kept the state groups in for the proposition that he has shown leadership, what groups they are, no one outside Virginia or immediate surrounding states is apt to care, even horse people. Note: I have actually read Mr. Cronin's book and found this review aligns with my own view. (essentially, good book though not sparkling prose). Montanabw(talk) 05:44, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
