Paul Buchanan is unarguably one of Scotland's most important songwriters. His solo work is highly acclaimed. The Wikipedia article for the band he co-founded, The Blue Nile, is mature and informative, but the band no longer exist and last recorded almost two decades ago. Buchanan has an extensive body of work which is of historical note of itself. Buchanan is, for a performer of note, reclusive and so there is relatively little information in the public domain about him (without original research), but this should not prevent a standalone article. This article, once extant, is likely to be developed over time to form an important reference on the subject of a personality who is both a historical and contemporary figure in Scottish culture. His renown extends well beyond Scotland, of course. Emmentalist (talk) 18:38, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
