Catalonia

According to MOS:CONTEXTBIO / Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Biography/2018 archive § RfC on use of Spanish regional identity in biography leads, there is a consensus to use the regional identity that reliable sources use most often and with which the subject identifies. For this reason, Special:Diff/1237005223 may be preferable. Are there any reasons for removing this information? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:41, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lamine Yamal’s article originally had the “From Catalonia” but it was removed. There should really be a consensus as it appears too many articles can’t decide whether to include it or not 27.96.194.192 (talk) 09:34, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The consensus, as stated, exists - and it isn't that articles "can't decide to include it", it's that there's a concerted effort by a small group of anti-Catalan people who edit only to remove it. Kingsif (talk) 23:27, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
