The part that talks about Malin getting visas for the Jewish refugees is overly simple in its description of how he secured visas for them. Doris Kearns Goodwin gives a much more detailed account in her book, No Ordinary Time, which I'd like to add both with quotes and summaries. In the interest of full disclosure as per WP:COI, Patrick Malin is the father of the husband of my second cousin twice removed on my dad's side. My dad and Patrick Malin's son, Clem, are very close, though I've only met the man once. Distant relation, I know, but want to keep things honest.
