Jerusalem
[edit]Patrick Guinness is no more a "claimant" to the throne of Jerusalem then are dozens of other more-well-placed persons. This fluffery has no business being in his biography. Wjhonson (talk) 01:43, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Mmm. He is the heir-general of one of the lines who traditionally posed that claim. It even seems likely that his line is heir-general of Anne of Lusignan.... 82.181.239.182 (talk) 15:14, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Neuchatel
[edit]Patrick Guinness seems to be the genealogical heir and thusly entitled claimant to the hereditary rulership of the Swiss canton of Neuchatel which was a sovereign principality until their republican revolution in 1848.
There has been almost a thousand years of hereditary rulers of Neuchatel, starting from his direct ancestors for the first five centuries. 88.195.126.19 (talk) 23:46, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- That's a kind notice. But I think it was ended by Napoleon. Maybe I should ask the good burghers of N what they think.PatrickGuinness (talk) 20:31, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
On 10 March 2015 the Texas Senate passed a resolution sponsored by Senator Watson welcoming Mr Guinness to the Texas State Capitol.
[edit]After a brief search on google and the website of the Texas legislature, I have found nothing to substantiate this claim. Perhaps my search skills are lacking, so I would encourage others to research this claim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.191.186.208 (talk) 18:12, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
