Meeting Murial Pavlov?

[edit]

The article says "After the end of the war Gibbs invested in a chain of laundrettes, but his career shifted after a friend introduced him to actress Muriel Pavlow." Which would mean that Patrick Gibbs met Pavlov after the war. Yet in my edition of "Torpedo Leader" (my edition is the paperback Grub street edition published in 2009 ISBN 978-1-906502-40-9) There is a photo in the centre plates of Gibbs outside Buckingham Palace after receiving his DFC in 1943 standing next to Murial Pavlov (although she is not named, it just says "The author with friend..."). In chapter one of the book, Gibbs says he was in a relationship with "... a young actress making some mark on the London Stage." (page 17). This would mean Gibbs had met Murial Pavlov well before the end of the war, certainly by 1943 and maybe one or two years earlier than that.
