Content
[edit]The last sentence appears superflous given that being promoted or relegated tells the reader nothing about which divisions are involved - and mentioning they almost went bust in 1997 is simply repeating what was said earlier. I think the content is great but the style needs some updating. OzScot (talk) 05:01, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
2008 Away Kits
[edit]They should be pink and grey horizontal stripes with pink sleeves, not solid pink. Identical to the home kits but with different colors. I would change it myself, but I can't get the formatting correct. Senor k (talk) 08:56, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Why does the list of Famous Former Players not include Johnny Gibson, Bobby Lawrie or Alex Rae ..... all of who were critical to the 71 League Cup success ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.186.9.228 (talk) 17:21, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Nothing about name?
[edit]Why isn't there something stating why it's called 'Thistle'? DavidFarmbrough (talk) 15:58, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
reference
[edit]Why is there a lonely little reference no 1 with nowhere to go under the reference section?. If someone knows which sentence it belongs to I or someone else can move it there. Thanks. Titch Tucker (talk) 19:57, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Added information boxes
[edit]I have added a couple of blank information boxes. I hope those who know the history can fill in these boxes and add some good and interesting information to this article concerning top scorers, most appearances, etc. Thanks. Titch Tucker (talk) 16:59, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hello folks. There must be plenty of Jags fans out there with the information to complete the boxes. Titch Tucker (talk) 23:10, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Colours
[edit]Can anyone confirm the 'JAGS' colour way back in 1947. That was when I last saw them at Firhill, I think the
strip was a light blue and mauve, memory ain't that
good these days. Thank-you.

Scottish League
[edit]The article states Thistles best finish in the SCOTTISH LEAGUE is 3rd place this seems to to imply the scottish football league because clicking on SCOTTISH LEAGUE takes you tothe SFL page, however of course means the top league in scotland so should surely link to the SPL page.I also think a term other than Scottish league should be used as this is too broad because it could mean any scottish league.Scotland the brave1297 (talk) 07:59, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Playing Squad
[edit]I know that the page has been temporarily disabled from editing because of vandalism, but could a moderator please edit this section to remove "Martin Whyte" and "Wes Fletcher", who are not Thistle players, and to add Simon Donnelly and Mark Corcoran?Redandyellowarmy (talk) 20:16, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Consider it done. Jellyman (talk) 21:07, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
New Colours
[edit]The strips for season 2011-2012 have not yet been added into the info box. I don't know how it's done otherwise I would do it myself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.194.215.249 (talk) 09:43, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
James Craigen
[edit]How do I create a Wikipedia page for the player James Craigen in the squad list? He has played a significant part in Partick's charge to promotion and, having gone to school with him, I'm well equipped to make an entry.

Right - will take a look at this and drop some comments below - will copyedit as I read (please revert if I accidentally change the meaning!) cheers, Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 19:07, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
Lead a bit short - some things to add:
Thistle have also won both the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup on one occasion.- bit confusing to read - maybe add the years they were won.
Add their highest ever finish in the league and what year.
- Overall, the history is slightly overemphasised on recent events. I'd buff some early bits - e.g. the Cup success and league progress section, a little more info on some of these finals, also maybe list some notable players from this mid 40s to mid 60s period. 1971 final needs sourcing.
Any info on why they were going bankrupt?better..ish. Any more info on the how the 1.5m quid debt came about would be good but not essential.....
Since 1936 the club have played in red-and-yellow jerseys of varying designs, with hoops, stripes and predominantly yellow tops with red trims having been used, although in 2009 a centenary kit was launched in the original navy-blue style to commemorate 100 years at Firhill Stadium- comes over as repetitive after the previous sentence mentioning 1936-37. - actually this line would go well in the lead and it can be rephrased for the body of the text.
citations needed in European record and some elsewhere - I tagged a few.
Make sure the references are properly formatted, not just raw links.
Also, IMDB not counted as a reliable source..
Overall, good structure and prose ok. Trying to give this a big a shove as possible to FAC. cheers, Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 19:28, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

Stadium infobox
[edit]The 'Stadium' section of the article currently has an infobox, which is exactly the same as that carried in the separate article for Firhill. While this could be useful for a club whose ground doesn't have its own article, it seems unnecessarily repetitive in instances like this. Jellyman (talk) 22:25, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
Honours section
[edit]Only the Scottish Cup, the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Premiership (formerly SPL/Premier Division/First Division) are considered major trophies. Please see [1] 173.238.79.44 (talk) 08:15, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
Bare URL link rot
