Heard a story that “Parkinson” meant son of the Park ranger, unsure of accuracy of such.
Also saw a crest in a Museum in Lancashire in the mid-70’s that showed a what I recall as a blue background shield with 3 white Chevrons each with 3 blue fleur-de-lis. This all by memory so not reliable for detail.
