Clarification Needed

[edit]

From the article: "The brigade is a branch of the French Army and consists of military personnel, who are placed at the disposal of the Paris Prefecture of Police in an arrangement similar to that of the French Gendarmerie (they end the yearly Bastille Day parade, and are traditionally the most applauded unit)."

Is this supposed to say that the Paris Fire Brigade end the Bastille Day parade, or that the Gendarmerie end the parade? If it's the former, it should be clarified - it's a nice fact, but very ambiguous - and if it's the latter, it's irrelevant and should be removed. -- Scott Wilson 18:33, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is SAMU really part of the Paris Fire Service? Frank6677 (talk) 18:30, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The operational personnel (hommes du rang i.e. privates

[edit]

"The operational personnel (hommes du rang i.e. privates" Aren't corporals "hommes du rang" too? Do they belong to the operational personnel? Can't NCOs and commissioned officers belong to the operational personnel? Apokrif 03:26, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WPMED

I don't think that a fire service is properly within the scope of WP:MED. If you disagree, please leave a note on the specific page for the project. WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:07, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
