Labels dispute
[edit]Per the infobox, the label parameter should include all labels that the artist has signed with including former ones. It's currently being disputed so I am posting my sources as to why I think it should say "Three, N-Tro / Chay" and then when Tips is made official, "Tips".
Why Three should stay:
- DesiClub Parichay interview: "Since then [Debut album No Boundaries], Parichay has impressed his industry peers, earning himself a record deal with RDB and their label Three Records. Parichay and RDB wasted no time and headed straight to the studio. On his solo career front, Parichay has released a couple of singles, but a milestone in his career was when he lent his voice to Bollywood. Parichay can be heard on the house remix of the title song from the film Yamla Pagla Deewana."
- EventCombo article "Parichay signed to Three Records earlier this year and we all knew that we were not only in for new, fresh tunes, but some added features as Three Records is RDB's label. Parichay fulfilled wishes and expectations throughout the year with a handful of singles and music videos."
- SimplyBhangra article (questionable source, but cites a press release) that says "Their second sign to Three Records is the extremely talented singer ‘Parichay’. Parichay has already given some massive hits like, Deewana Tera, Kasam Se and now is firmly under RDB’s wing as their new singer and second signing to this growing record label."
- N-tro Media press release about Parichay: "Regarding the title of his forthcoming album ‘4 Steps Forward’, Parichay stated, “When I decided to leave Three Records and walk away, some people felt it would set me back a lot. In reality, it did not. I just had to take some time off to regroup myself, spend quality time in the studio, surround myself with the right people and well-wishers. I did that and have come back stronger than ever. Now, I have the freedom to produce, write, sing and perform the way I want to. "
Why N-Tro / Chay (independent) should stay:
- WeeklyVoice interview: "I wanted to set up a label and I ended up doing that this year."
- also same N-tro Media press release as above. It can be changed to "N-tro / Chay Productions" as with how it was published on iTunes for this single and others on that catalog: [1]
Why Tips should be added:
- ParichayOnline bio (primary source): "He also just signed a major music label deal with Tips Music – one of the biggest Music Labels & Film Production houses in the Indian Sub-continent. "
Can someone verify which label was applied to his singles and albums when first released? Thoughts? Questions? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 14:53, 4 August 2015 (UTC) update 17:59, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
