What is this stuff?[edit]

It is unclear (to me at least) what this section and the paragraph which precedes it is about. Pardon_My_Scotch#The_Marx_Brothers_for_MGM's_5_comedy_features_with_the_stars_(remake_for_the_Stooges'_five_short_films) Gzuckier (talk) 03:13, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was just as confused about it, so I went ahead and removed it. MrBelpitsLegs (talk) 06:20, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hidden Meaning in Story[edit]

This episode closely resembles a spoof of actual events of the time.

Walgreens

"Walgreens began in 1901, with a small food front store on the corner of Bowen and Cottage Grove Avenues in Chicago, owned by Dixon, Illinois native Charles R. Walgreen. By 1913, Walgreens had grown to four stores on Chicago's South Side. It opened its fifth in 1915 and four more in 1916. By 1919, there were 20 stores in the chain.

As a result of alcohol prohibition, the 1920s were a successful time for Walgreens. Although alcohol was illegal, Walgreens sold prescription whiskey. This prescribed alcohol was sold at inflated price, which was much higher than the pricing at the bathtub or the speakeasy."
