Remove second paragraph and replace it with:
The PHE division oversees PPC’s home entertainment and transactional digital distribution activities worldwide. The division is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of home entertainment content on behalf of Paramount Pictures, Paramount Animation, Paramount Television, Paramount Players, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and CBS and applicable licensing and servicing of certain DreamWorks titles. PHE additionally manages global licensing of studio content and transactional distribution across worldwide digital distribution platforms including online, mobile and portable devices and emerging technologies.
Explanation of issue: Viacom and CBS have recently merged into one company. Therefore, the Paramount Pictures division of Home Entertainment is responsible for all of the above listed entities content distribution.

- The url you give as a reference is just the top-level website address for ViacomCBS. It does not directly support anything you've said in your proposed text. We'd prefer to see an independent press report about this merger and its effects on various chunks of intellectual property. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 16:54, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
I need to explain to you the fundamentals of studio operations. ALL Studios. The Home Entertainment division handles the intellectual property of whatever brands represented by the studio. Therefore, all of the brands listed on the ViacomCBS.com site are handled by Paramount Home Entertainment. on the website, go to GLOBEL BRANDS for review.[1] What's more, do you really believe that all studios have the highly complicated terms of their licensing agreements published?
Also, I'd like to have you review the Warner Brothers Studio article https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Warner_Home_Video as an example. Their History section rolls through more than 3 paragraphs using a SINGLE source. THAT source does not support the previous 3+ paragraphs.

Also, please review Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Wikipedia page BACKGROUND section first paragraph. They have successfully published their distribution connections using a single source that DOES NOT support all of the first paragraph in their BACKGROUND section. Here is their source https://www.awn.com/news/sony-home-ent-takes-over-sony-wonder It does not support all of their distribution claims.

Information to be removed in the first Paragraph: "PHMD oversees home entertainment and transactional digital distribution activities worldwide." The first paragraph should be: "Paramount Home Entertainment (PHE) is part of Paramount Pictures Corporation (PPC), a global producer and distributor of filmed entertainment. PPC is a unit of ViacomCBS (NASDAQ: VIAC; VIACA), a content company with film, television and digital entertainment brands." Explanation of issue: the replacement paragraph is more thorough. [edit]- The proposed replacement text removes the description of the subject company and replaces it with descriptions of the parent companies (e.g.,
is part of Paramount Pictures Corporation (PPC), a global producer and distributor of filmed entertainment
and...is a unit of ViacomCBS, a content company with film, television and digital entertainment brands"
). As an article's lead section ought to include pertinent information about the article's subject, changing this lead section to remove information about the subject company in favor of adding descriptions of the parent organizations would not constitute an improvement to the lead section.
