Maurice Allais
[edit]The page has been redirected to Maurice Allais per forking guidelines. Please develop content at that page. Pendulumsmasher (talk) 18:48, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks to Peripitus for undoing the above ridiculous redirect, which I am not myself technically capable of doing. It is most peculiar to redirect the page which describes an invention, to the page about its inventor, on the specious grounds of anti-forking. Maurice Allais invented the paraconical pendulum (as far as is currently known), but since his activity in the 1950s, at least the following other persons have built paraconical pendulums of varying types and attempted to do research with them: Professor Latham, Leonid Savrov, Dimitrie Olenici, Professor Mihaila, staff at Gode Wissenschaftsstiftung (sp), and myself, Thomas Goodey. Professor Pippard also suggested the idea of a paraconical pendulum, apparently independently. The device is not yet perfected, and may never be, but it is much advanced over the days of Allais. To redirect the "paraconical pendulum" article to the article about Maurice Allais, is as misconceived as it would be to redirect the article about radio to the article about Marconi. 220.215.160.148 (talk) 14:09, 16 June 2009 (UTC) Thomas Goodey
