I always thought parachesis could also refer to a "lengthy, rambling digression of thought or speech"?

ParachesisParechesis – the original name was likely a typo. Proposed name change follows the Greek name (cf. article) 65.112.8.136 (talk) 20:39, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, (edit: I just googled the term, and the present spelling is common, I'll wait to see the discussion evolve) but the proposed name is a red link, so if you're sure about the spelling you could probably just go ahead and move it (maybe not, because you've opened up an RM. I don't know the rules and regs of the guidelines.) Randy Kryn 03:39, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy support this is a misspelling, next editor should just do it. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:53, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Closing comment: I can imagine the former title is quite a common misspelling, owing to the prevalence of English borrowings from Greek that start para and the obvious Greek source of this word, but yes, it's a misspelling, there's no way the second vowel could be transliterated to a and the more common spelling is with an e (whew). But I think I can call a consensus to move without needing my !vote, so we move on. Andrewa (talk) 09:24, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
