I assume the etymology is panto "all" and lestes "thief", but I can't find a reference for it. --Fama Clamosa (talk) 16:05, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The species fordonia wikilinked under genus Dyspterninae redirects to an extant species of snake! Anybody know if the "fordonia" here should be something else, or if the name has been used twice? Either way, the link needs correction. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.200.132.221 (talk) 15:37, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Last Common Ancestor of Placentals and Ferae "Pantolestidae is an extinct family of semi-aquatic, non-placental eutherian mammal" If (1) Pantolesta falls under Pantolestidae, and were therefore non-placental, and (2) they are included as Ferae, then (3) are Placental Polyphyletic? There is no pantolesta article to confirm or deny the status of pantolesta.(user: cn7614929) 18:29, 20 January 2025 (UTC)71.38.218.123 (talk) 02:31, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
