Kotokos and Kourilas were first ejected by the Sinod then
[edit]Let's say how things exactly went. They were first ejected by the Sinod and then kicked out of Albania as persona non grata. These people were introduced in 1937 so that the Patricana could recognize the authonomy of the Church of Albania. Two Trojan Horses that did exactly what they were there to do: hellenize the Albanian Orthodox Church. For this they were enemies of the state. Not that I expect Alexikoua to make any changes though. sulmues (talk)--Sulmues 14:34, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Interesting approach, but unfortunately no 'rs' stuff supports this one. The official site of the Orth. ch. of Albania doesn't agree either:
After canonical elections at the Oecumenical Patriarchate, the first Synod comprised Christophoros, archbishop of Tirana, Dyrrachion and All Albania, and the three bishops Eulogios of Korytsa (Korça), Agathangelos of Berat, and Panteleemon of Argyrokastron. |

Look here[2] to see that your Janulatos still has the decency to mention a sinod of Berat in 1922. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.39.64.68 (talk) 18:27, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Alexi, please don't get mad at me. I entered dubious/verify for Kotokos' place of birth. Could you please provide full citation of where his exact place of birth was? Also per Wikipedia:CLERGY shouldn't he be named something else? --Sulmues Let's talk 02:13, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Why should I get mad? That's ok. Sure he should be named 'Panteleimon (Kotokos) of Gjirokaster'. Hope we copperate and have not same style activity like in Eulogios Kourilas.Alexikoua (talk) 11:50, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Since I see you prefer Albanian authors, it's here on p. 178 [[3]].Alexikoua (talk) 12:01, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
I've corrected the link about Bishop Eulogios Kourilas. Although the mess that was created in Kourilas article died down some weeks ago, unfortunately the editor that was eager to change his name into a pov form didn't care to make the right correction. So I did it finally myself.Alexikoua (talk) 20:46, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
