Requested move 22 August 2024

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: consensus to move the articles to the proposed titles at this time, per the discussion below, with the exception that consensus on conformance with the guidelines is not as clear in the cases of Mahanama of Anuradhapura and Lilavati of Polonnaruwa. To not let the perfect be the enemy of the good, I will initiate a procedural nomination for the other two articles separately. Dekimasuよ! 03:32, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

– The Sri Lankan (or Sinhalese) monarchs mostly have a distinct stock of names, so there is no need to disambiguate from other rulers. We do not call the pharaohs Hatshepsut of Egypt and Djoser of Egypt. Векочел (talk) 02:54, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
