Contested deletion

This article should not be speedy deleted as being about a subject that was invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally and for lack of asserted importance, because... (your reason here) --Bush6984 (talk) 05:41, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I first read about this phenomenon in a dissertation at Ohio State University. Upon Googling the concept of "pancake sentences" there appears to be mention of it in a few academic journals (cited as references on the page), supporting the idea that it's a recognized jargon phrase among collegiate level linguistics professors. The links I provided, or simply Googling "pancake sentences" should provide evidence that it's not something I made up, but rather something found in academic journals, albeit a relatively newly coined term (appears to be roughly 2004 when it was first used). I do not personally know Hans-Olav Enger, the author of the 2004 paper in which "pancake sentence" seems to have first been used.

I thought I already contested this. It's a thing I found out about while reading an academic dissertation in linguistics, and upon Googling it found other academic journal publications regarding this issue. It's nothing I made up myself, but something that can be corroborated by consulting linguistic academic journals.
