[edit]...for starting this long over-due article.
Rona Sela is an Israeli who has written a lot about this, focused on the pictures/films. She had a few articles/her job has been described by Haaretz, among others. See this, And according to this (readable version: here), not all was returned after the 1982 looting by Israel Huldra (talk) 20:54, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

NYT, 1982 article

- Thanks. Will do. If I forget to, nudge me (age, carelessness etc.)Nishidani (talk) 21:39, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

- There remains a bit of a mystery in this narrative, if you compare Sleiman's account of 100 'boxes' apparently still in a desert base, with the disappearing 25,000 vols. Nishidani (talk) 21:52, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
