Date of Construction

The way the article is worded (as well as the way the sources are written), the timeline of construction for this building is a bit muddled and should be clarified somehow. Also, the article on Quito states that Diego de Almagro was the founder of the city, not Juan Diaz de Hidalgo. From what I can tell, the manor of Juan Diaz de Hidalgo/Diego de Almagro was built on this site sometime in the 16th century. In 1930, the manor was renovated. Apparently it also at this time became the first building over two stories in Quito. This would imply that an extensive expansion of the manor was undertaken, which also brings into question the remaining existence of the original building. Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable on this subject can help clear this up. PhantomPlugger (talk) 15:15, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
