Jackson Bird catches in 3rd test
[edit]Some overly militant user scratched a point I added to 3rd test trivia about Jackson Bird's 4 catches as a sub fielder which is equalling a record by Younis Khan, it was a subject picked up by various news sites and it sparked some discussion re. substitute fielders not being credited for catches. My entry looked like this:
- Jackson Bird (Aus) equalled Younis Khan's record of four catches in a Test as a substitute fielder.[1]
I don't see why it should be left out. It's one interesting occurence, totally notable and worth a mention. As a reader I think I'd like to be informed about this. How often sub fielder get more than 1 catch? :P Ptok-Bentoniczny (talk) 10:26, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- Useless trivia. Didn't even break the record. So what that it's "talked about"? Everything is. And you can stop with the personal attacks for a start. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 10:28, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

- Haha. Yeah, right. Because I removed your edit? That's "aggressive"? D'oh. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 10:31, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

- Definitely include - widely-reported, world-record-equalling feat - and let's face it, we keep the bar pretty low in match notes. StAnselm (talk) 10:29, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- Comment: the record is shared among four people, not just Bird and Younis - the Cricinfo list is here. StAnselm (talk) 10:31, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- So he's adding incorrect info to boot on a non-notable nugget. And he's now edit-warring while an active discussion about this is taking place. Superb. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 10:34, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- It's not incorrect. You are just butthurt. Ptok-Bentoniczny (talk) 10:36, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- I don't know what that means. Keep up your trolling though. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 10:38, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- From what I see, you're the number one troll here... An aggressive deletionist with a superiority complex. Ptok-Bentoniczny (talk) 10:39, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for that! Another valuable contribution from yourself. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 10:41, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
