Er, Pacific Squadron was Royal Navy, too
[edit]It's the name of the fleet that was based at what is now CFB Esquimalt; I suppose Pacific Squadron (Royal Navy) would be the requisite title if needed; although I think I saw mention of the Pacific Squadron on a royal navy page so I'll see what they link it to there; might already exist; this page will need a dab line if it does, or once such an RN page exists.Skookum1 06:47, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- OK, there's a British Pacific Fleet there; not sure what to do here; do I need to provide a cite for the British Pacific Fleet also being called the Pacific Squadron, or should I use "see [[British Pacific Fleet|Pacific Squadron (Royal Navy)]]"?Skookum1 06:49, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- but now I'm confused; looks like British Pacific Fleet is a WWII term; I'm sure Pacific Squadron is the old usage for the Equimalt RN base's fleet.....I'll be back about this.....Skookum1 06:51, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Second Opium War
[edit]The Pacific Squadron and the East India Squadron were two different commands so does the Second Opium War section (and the other East India squadron conflicts listed) really belong here?--$1LENCE D00600D (talk) 07:45, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
