Anyone know more about this and want to help cite it? Some Tenerife government/corporation websites offer info. (It looks like there's going to be very little info in English, so another Spanish speaker might have to pitch in to help.)
Also, the Spanish version that I translated into English was essentially identical to the text on this site: http://www.todotenerife.es/index.php?sectionID=63&lang=1&s=8&ID=674. I don't know whether the site copied the info from Wikipedia or vice versa, but that worries me. Hopefully some other sources will help provide similar information so that we can be sure that the article isn't just a translation of the exact text on that site.
