UNDUE Directors & Governance
[edit]A look through 20 of the biggest companies I know, in 6 sectors, indicated only Amazon's vastly longer article included them.
In my experience, only smaller articles contain them, in a bulking up method.
I'm at a bit of a loss why anyone visiting an article for a general overview would need to know all the board of directors, for example.
Currently, there is a significant WP:UNDUE on the importance and coverage of both groups. Can anyone explain why they should be included for the PRA given the general decision not to include them elsewhere? Nosebagbear (talk) 15:56, 18 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, my name is Noah and I work for PRA Group. We have recently learned about Wikipedia's community guidelines and COI policy and would like to commit ourselves to contributing to this online community by providing information to the world! We are a global company and there is discussion about our brand online everyday, and this Wikipedia article serves as a common landing spot for users searching for information about the company. Is there an editor who might be interested in helping us add accurate, fact-based information to this article. I can provide many sources that would be useful to visitors doing their research. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PRAGroupNoah (talk • contribs) 16:24, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

"PRA Group began as Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC in March 1996, when it was co-founded by Steve Fredrickson (current chairman of PRA Group’s board of directors and former President & CEO) and Kevin Stevenson (former President & CEO). Two months after forming the company in a small, Norfolk, Virginia office with four total staff members, they made their first debt purchase in May of 1996. Eventually, Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC’s name was changed to Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc. and later to PRA Group, Inc. in October 2014. The brand name, PRA Group, along with the design of its corporate logo were trademarked in that same year. On March 27, 2023, Vikram Atal was named PRA Group president and CEO. Atal is a longtime PRA Group board member and industry executive. During Atal's 27-year career at Citigroup, he led the North America card franchise [1], with 30,000 employees and 60 million customers, to record results amidst a changing regulatory landscape.":
- The company has a new CEO, Vikram Atal, which has been a news subject in recent months. Atal came from Citi.:

From Spintendo : "Not done: A majority of the requested changes are currently written in a promotional tone. Please review WP:Neutral point of view and ensure you follow this before submitting any edit requests. Additionally, certain elements of the request which were not promotional — such as the claims involving the additions of various individuals to positions within the company — were unclear in the request because it was not indicated where in the existing text these changes ought to be placed. - Thank you for that tip, Blue Rider! I was under the impression that my version of the paragraph wouldn't be kept in large part due to my COI. But that last portion of the last sentence, starting with ", to record results..." can be chopped off. PRAGroupNoah (talk) 18:06, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
