i recall a weapon called the biz-2 smg being featured in the ps game, syphon filter . it resembles the bizon in appearance and ROF. dunno i this is true or not, maybe go take a look?

A video game appearance is not relevant to this article. Koalorka (talk) 01:57, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Probably copied?

[edit]

Uh where is any proof what so ever it was copied, this seems somewhat baseless (especially given that the word probably is used)

well the engineers must have took the simple design of the ak47 or the stubby ak74, which is a design KNOWN to work, and rechambered it, and came up with a new magazine system.

Or it was probably the other way round, they idea for the magazine first and adapted an exsisting model to fit it.

It's not a copy, it uses THE SAME receiver that is simply chopped down and converted. It's made by the same people that make the AK-74 and AK-100 series. This was done to reduce costs and makes the Bizon's parts compatible with the world's most prolific assault rifle—the AKM/AK-74. Koalorka (talk) 02:00, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not to mention that it was designed by the son of the AK-47's designer. I think it stretches credulity to think that he could've duplicated his father's receiver so completely without having done so intentionally. 75.76.213.106 (talk) 01:06, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sights

[edit]

The description of the sights in the article is for the early versions of the weapon only. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.57.112.224 (talk) 22:03, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Name Change

[edit]

Please refer to this manufacturer website [1] this SMG is simply called Bizon...not PP-19 Bizon...I have therefore renamed the article Bizon SMG to avoid naming disambiguation--RAF910 (talk) 18:54, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Was it ever called PP-19? Where did that moniker originate? – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 01:28, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
