PK started the Jitters in late 1978, AFTER The Throbbing Gems disbanded. The members of The Jitters were: PK Dwyer - vocals, rhythm guitar, songwriter; Donna Beck - vocals; Pete Pendras - lead guitar, backup vocals; Dave Hutchison - bass, backup vocals. When PK disbanded The Jitters it was because he had started writing new material based on a trip that he made to the Oregon Country Fair that inspired him to go in a new direction. At the same time, PK began collaborating with Ron W. Bailey (who had co-founded The Dynamic Logs at around the same time as PK started The Jitters, both having previously been in The Throbbing Gems), and Lou Heavly (who was a member of the Dynamic Logs), and their respective girlfriends, Beca Chase, Cathy Sutherland, and Jenny (last name?). Beca and Cathy were planning to go to Paris to study, so the whole troupe headed for Paris, where they made a living playing on the streets as “Les Gens du Caniveaux,” the French version of “The Gutter People.” 50.47.211.6 (talk) 01:21, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
