recruitment in NC?
[edit]Does anyone know if he was recruited by any North Carolina schools (NC State, UNC, Wake, Duke, etc...)? I just ask because he's from Raleigh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kinser (talk • contribs) 01:51, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

- Support – Obviously, as I nominated it for move. Wikipedia:NCP#Middle names and abbreviated names shows there should be a space between each abbreviated letter in a person's name.—X96lee15 (talk) 18:07, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- Support This is non-controversial. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 20:49, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- I oppose these moves. The reason D.J. White or P.J. Tucker are here in the first place is because that's the name they use. They don't have a space when they use their name. Who are we to enforce that they should have a space in between? Enigma message 20:58, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's manual of style and naming conventions say there should be the space. Much like most other sites on the Internet do not put a space between the letter, Wikipedia does and that should be followed. "PJ", "P.J." and "P. J." are all the same name; it's just a matter of how they should be displayed. The only exception I can think of is someone like CC Sabathia that actually came out and said, "my name doesn't use periods", although I still think he should be "C. C." on Wikipedia, but that's another discussion.—X96lee15 (talk) 21:36, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
