[edit]This figure has been one of the most influential Brazilian economist of the past decades, for the good or the worse. He has held high positions in the Brazilian government, and should deserve an article for himself.
I have tried to highlight the subject's importance; to that end, I have moved the part about his serving as president of the BC to the first paragraph. I suggest that you add more details of his career (what did he do before and after 1995?) Donadio (talk) 19:31, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
