A disambiguation?

[edit]

Similar pages in other languages are disambiguations. If this page isn't one, an interwiki would be controversial.Xx236 (talk) 06:30, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguating what though? This is a term used to refer to territories situated overseas from the main part of their country. It's not used for any other purpose. Listing all of those territories would just be a "list of overseas territories".
The only reason this topic doesn't have an article is because it is adequately covered at Territory#Overseas territory, and there isn't enough content to justify splitting it out. You can still have an article named List of overseas territories or similar. We already have List of designations for overseas territories, except its at the made up title of "Overseas administrative territorial entity".
Other wikis are written in different languages so the comparable term might have more uses (and thus require disambiguation), or they might have expanded on the topic more to justify its own article.
