Wiki Education assignment: Gender and Sexuality Studies 101

Overtaci's "gender travel", as described in the aritcle, is not clear to me. Was they assigned as male of female at birth? Was the sex change to female or to male? Did they return to the original gender in 1972, or did they only then start to identify as the new gender? Nø (talk) 14:58, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
From sources, it is clear that Overtaci was assigned male gender at birth, transitioned to female, and back to male. I think this should be made more explicit in this article. Also, rather than switching between he/his and she/her, I think using they/their throuought the article would be sensible. Nø (talk) 21:26, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
According to one English-language review, the name Ovartaci means "chief loon". Though I'm Danish, I hadn't thought of that - but it could be true: "Overtosse" (one translation into Danish of "chief loon") certainly could be pronounce exactly the same way as Ovartaci, so the name could be a humorous way of embracing that moniker. It his real? Is there a better source that could support it? Nø (talk) 10:21, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
